H.R.884 Prohibit Noncitizen Voting in D.C. Elections

119th Congress
Democracy & Voting RightsVoting access, election integrity, gerrymandering, and the defense of democratic institutions.
View on Congress.gov

D.C. noncitizen voting ban. Congress overriding a locally enacted D.C. municipal election law undermines the D.C. Home Rule Act. D.C. residents pay federal taxes and bear all obligations of citizenship with no voting representation in Congress — yet Congress can veto their local laws. This item scores the federalism principle, not the noncitizen voting question itself.
