Privacy policy
This is the privacy policy for yourreprecord.org, a fiscally sponsored 501(c)(3) project of the Network for Voter Education, an initiative of Empowerment Works, Inc.
We do not sell or rent personal information. The site has no advertising and no ad trackers.
Information you give us
When you use the contact form, we receive your email address, your message, and anything else you enter. We keep messages as long as we need them to reply to you and to keep our records. Ask us and we will delete yours.
Email updates are managed by Action Network. Donations are handled by Raisely, and payments are processed by Stripe. Each service handles what you enter under its own privacy policy and shares it with us so we can send you updates or thank you for your gift. We do not receive your card number.
Analytics
We use cookie-free analytics that we run ourselves. It records the pages you view, the site that sent you here, your browser and device type, and your approximate location. It does not store IP addresses. Visits from browsers with Do Not Track turned on are not recorded.
Finding your district
If you look up your district by address or location, we send it to the U.S. Census Bureau to find the matching district. We do not store it.
Cookies and browser storage
The site sets one cookie, which protects the contact form and is deleted when you close your browser. It also saves a few preferences in your browser, such as your quiz progress. You can clear these at any time in your browser settings.
Outside services
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts and photos of members of Congress from Congress.gov. Our web host and content delivery network deliver every page. These services receive standard technical information, such as your IP address, when a page loads.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has sent us personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Your choices
You can email us to ask what personal information we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date at the top.
